Terms & Conditions

This page (together with the documents referred to on it) tells you the terms and conditions on which we supply any of the goods listed on our website ( (our site)) to you.
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before ordering any goods from our site, once you tick the terms and conditions box on the checkout screens you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions. You should understand that by ordering any of our goods, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you have placed your order via the telephone, or in store you have agreed to these terms and conditions.
You should print a copy of these terms and conditions for future reference.
1.About Leader Stores and any derivative thereof is a site operated by Leader Online Limited trading as Leader Stores (we).  We are registered in England and Wales under company number 05879831 and our registered office is at 103 Whitby Street South, Hartlepool, TS24 7LH.  Our VAT number is 915 7065 22.
2.Eligibility to Purchase Product
a.All products on the website are available for sale to residents of United Kingdom only.  We do not accept orders from or deliver products to individuals outside of this territory. 
b.In order to satisfy certain legal requirements and ensure that the delivery of the products can be made effectively and safely we need to be sure of certain pieces of information about you.
c.By placing an order through our site, you confirm and acknowledge that:
i.You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts; and
ii.You are at least 18 years old;
iii.You are resident in the United Kingdom; and
iv.You are accessing our site from that country.
a.All prices are quoted in UK Pounds Sterling exclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate and goods are sold under English law.
b.The price of any products will be as quoted on our site from time to time and included on your Order Acknowledgement, except in cases of obvious error.
c.Our site contains a large number of products and it is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the Goods listed on our site may be incorrectly priced. We will normally verify prices as part of our order confirmation procedures so that, where a product’s correct price is less than our stated price we will charge the lower amount when dispatching the Goods to you. If a product’s correct price is higher than the price stated on our site, we will normally, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before dispatching the Goods, or reject your order and notify you of such rejection.
d.Leader Online Limited will match the Price of any like-for-like Goods that you find for sale elsewhere on-line. Please email us with details of the Goods, including where possible any unique reference number, the date on which you saw the Goods advertised for sale and the website address of the seller of the Goods. Please note we reserve the right to refuse any price match where full information is not provided or cannot be substantiated.
e.Payment for all Goods can be by credit or debit card, telegraphic transfer, or cheque. We accept payment with Visa, Delta, Mastercard & Switch. Where payment is made by way of credit or debit card, we will take payment from the relevant account at the point of order. We will not dispatch your order until we have received payment in full.
f.Only one discount code is applicable per order. This applies to ALL discount codes available on the website. Please contact us for further details.

a.Delivery of all goods is subject to terms set out in our Delivery Policy.
b.All goods are shipped either by a professional distribution company or by our own vehicles. Orders can be collected by you from our warehouse if preferred. Please contact us if you wish to utilise this option.
c.Unless otherwise stated please allow 28 days for delivery.  All lead times for delivery are estimates only. Please ensure that all delivery details are accurate as incorrect details could lead to a delay in delivery.  Whilst we make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated timescales, on occasion delays are unavoidable due to unforeseen factors.
d.We shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the goods within the estimated timescale.  We recommend that you make arrangements for trades people to carry out any required work on your behalf only after you have received the goods.
e.We shall be under no liability for time spent due to time taken out of work while waiting for deliveries or any issues caused by an unfulfilled delivery, as unforeseen circumstances can sometimes cause delays.
f.If we are unable to make a delivery because delivery is refused or missed at the delivery address you may incur a re-delivery charge, as we have fulfilled our obligations to you.
5.Product Availability
a. Please be aware, while we stock 1000's of items here at Leader Stores, we also supply even more items on a per order basis. This means items are ordered from suppliers at the point of order. While we do request regular stock updates from our suppliers on a daily basis, it is not always possible to have up to the minute updates. We recommend that before placing any orders, you should contact Leader Stores directly by telephone on 01429 241 270 or by emailing This will allow us to check the stock directly and get an update directly from the supplier.
b.We make every effort to offer only products, sizes and colours that are available and in stock with our suppliers.  If a size or colour, or type of product is not available, we will notify you on receipt of your order and will reimburse your payment if you chose to cancel the order.
c.Any products made to measure from information / measurements provided by the customer are non-returnable.
6.How the Contract is Formed
a.Your order constitutes an offer to us to buy a product.  All orders are subject to acceptance by us, and we will confirm such acceptance to you upon dispatch of the goods to you. An e-mail that confirms that the products have been dispatched (the Order Dispatch email).  The contract between us (Contract) will only be formed when we send you the Order Dispatched email.  If you do not receive an Order Acknowledgement within 5 days please contact us to ensure that your order has been received.
b.The Contract will relate only to those products whose dispatch we have confirmed in the Order Dispatch email.  We will not be obliged to supply any other products which may have been part of your order until the dispatch of such products has been confirmed in your Order Dispatch email.
7. Product Likeness, Images & Descriptions
a. Whilst we make every effort to ensure product likenesses, specifications and descriptions of our products online are as close as physically possible, often it can be difficult to fully capture a true to life likeness via photography. The technology used by each individual viewer may also lead to differences in the way images are displayed, which is fully outside of our control.
b. Descriptions are often provided to us by suppliers and while every effort will be made to ensure that product descriptions/specifications are as accurate as possible, occasionally slight discrepancies may occur. Our site contains a large number of products and it is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the Goods listed on our site may be incorrect. We cannot be held liable for any such problems which may arise due to image inaccuracies, descriptive errors or slight differences in true to life products than how they are portrayed online.
8.Returns, Cancellations & Exchanges
a.Should you decide to cancel your order or return the products you have ordered, you must notify us of the cancellation in writing. (by post to 103 Whitby Street South, Hartlepool, TS24 7LH or by email to marked “Returns”) This must be done within 30 working days of receipt of the goods.
b. Please note, any items which are stated to be on lead times longer than 21 days are special order items and are manufactured from the point of order (Unless otherwise stated). Any items which are manufactured from the point of order may be subject to a 20% manufacture & re-stocking charge, which will cover the cost of the unwanted item. Please ask before purchase if you are unsure.

9.Risk and Title
a.You will be responsible for the care of the goods once they are delivered (for example, you should store the goods securely and safely and you should insure the goods).  We will not be responsible for any damage caused from incorrect storage.
b.Ownership of the goods will only pass to you when we receive full payment of all sums due in respect of the goods, including delivery charges.
In order to protect against fraud we are only able to ship items to the billing address.  We do check the address you give on your order before shipment.
11.Our right to vary these terms and conditions
a.These terms of sale and any document expressly referred to in them represent the entire agreement between us in relation to the subject matter of any Contract and supersede any prior agreement, understanding or arrangement between us, whether oral or in writing.
b.We have the right to revise and amend these terms of sale from time to time, for example to reflect changes in market conditions affecting our business, changes in technology, changes in payment methods, changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements and changes in our system’s capabilities.
c.You will be subject to the policies and terms of sale in force at the time that you order goods from us, unless any change to those policies or these terms and conditions is required to be made by law or governmental authority (in which case it will apply to orders previously placed by you), or if we notify you of the change to those policies or these terms and conditions before we send you the Order Acknowledgement (in which case we have the right to assume that you have accepted the change to the terms and conditions, unless you notify us to the contrary within seven working days of receipt by you of the goods).
12. General
a.If the courts decide that any part or wording in these terms of sale is illegal, invalid or unenforceable then that part or wording shall be deleted from the agreement and the rest of the terms of sale shall remain in force.
b.All contracts formed, sales made and legal disputes arising through the use of this website shall be governed by English law.  The English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these terms of sale or use of our site.
c.These terms can conditions shall apply to all internet sales made by Leader Online Limited and by placing an order with us you are accepting these terms and conditions.
13. Payments
a.Our credit and debit card processing is carried out by SagePay.
b.Payment can be made online by Credit or Debit Card, PayPal and Deko Finance. Payments can also be taken over the telephone by Credit or Debit Card, providing the billing & delivery address are the same.

Checking of Goods

While problems with deliveries are extemely rare we do ask the following just to be safe.

Leader Stores request that where possible all goods should be checked upon arrival for defects, damage, shortages or unsuitability. Our delivery drivers are instructed to allow you 15 minutes for the checking of goods whenever possible for any obvious signs of damage. All goods MUST be signed for by a person of minimum 18 years old. Please do not sign for goods as received in good condition without checking for any obvious defects, damages or shortages.

Upon receipt of the goods, we understand it may not always be possible to check your order immediately. This is why we request that you do so within the first 24 hours of receiving the goods and please let us know of any damages, defects or problems within the first 24 hours. This will allow us to quickly resolve and replace where necessary.

If you do not notify us of any problems within 24 hours, then we will be unable to rectify any problems and we cannot be held responsible.
